In traditional Chinese medicine, the five elements are what constitute all phenomena in the universe.  Fire, earth, metal, water, and wood, encompass every quality of the physical, energetic, emotional, and spiritual worlds.  An understanding of five element theory provides insight into the causes and solutions for every physical illness, every energetic or emotional imbalance, and every mental or spiritual crisis that we face as human beings.

Adam will share with us the basics of Five Element Theory, and guide us through healing meditations from his course.  We will practice guided meditations, including affirmations which help us release the negative emotions associated with each element, utilize each element’s healing color, and cultivate the five emotional virtues.Practicing these will help  you achieve and continually enhance your physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being.

Adam Holtey began studying Tai-Chi at the University of Oregon in 1998.  In 2000, Adam began practicing “Dahn Hak,” a Korean mind-body discipline comprised primarily of Taoist philosophy, and of Qigong practices.He became a Master of Dahn Hak in 2003.
